Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage
NET Group of Companies provides comprehensive feasibility studies and consulting services in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, supporting Clients in selecting optimal technologies and strategies tailored to specific project requirements.
WHAT IS CCUS?
CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage) is a technology that prevents carbon dioxide from industrial sources entering the atmosphere. CO2 is captured at large point sources like oil refineries, gas plants, and factories. It is then compressed, transported by pipeline or ship, and permanently stored deep underground or reused in various products.
1. CO2
Capture
CO2 is separated from other gases produced at large point sources such as oil refineries, natural gas plants, power stations, and cement or steel factories.
2. CO2 Transport
The captured CO2 is compressed and purified, then transported via pipeline or ship to a storage or utilization site.
3. CO2 Storage or Utilization
The CO2 is either stored deep underground in geological formations (such as depleted oil and gas reservoirs or saline aquifers) or reused to create valuable products like synthetic fuels, chemicals, or building materials.
Among the aspects that NET Group of Companies can offer within CCUS technology implementation include:
- Stakeholders meetings and discussions,
- Inventory of the existing state,
- Identif ication of basic integration points in the plant,
- Identif ication of cluster propositions to be analyzed
- Process modelling and simulations of CO2 capture technologies (MEA and CaL), CO2 utilization technologies, CO2 transport infrastructure and CO2 storage inf rastructure,
- Analysis of utilities consumption,
- Economic eff iciency analysis with comprehensive economic analysis,
- Consults on CCUS legislation developed within the project,
- Database for CCS/CCU project,
- Presentation of recommendations and conduction of trainings.
