City Advanced Aquaculture Project For The Intensive Fish Farming

CAAP represents a new generation of land-based aquaculture designed for maximum biological performance, resource efficiency and full production control. By integrating our patented Micro-Nano Bubble technology with advanced water treatment and automation, CAAP ensures superior oxygen transfer, optimized fish growth conditions and OPEX reduction. It enables sustainable, most profitable and efficient year-round production independent of climate, water scarcity or environmental limitations.

BACKGROUND FOR OUR SOLUTION

By implementing CAAP, high-quality fish can be produced in a fully controlled, biosecure and water-efficient environment, independent of seawater quality or natural freshwater availability.

City Advanced Aquaculture Project technology enables intensive production with minimal water consumption, precise control of water quality and feeding and effective disease management. This makes it particularly well suited for the areas, where water scarcity, high temperatures, urban proximity and the need for year-round, reliable protein supply are key challenges.

Features

OUR APPROACH TO MODERN FISH FARMING

We deliver turnkey RAS solutions tailored to local conditions.

We are able to select fish species suited to climate and water quality, such as Shrimps, Tilapia, Catfish and much more and to provide fully automated water treatment, temperature and oxygen control, feeding systems, biosecurity measures and final product processing and storage. Integrated training ensures communities can operate and maintain the systems sustainably, producing reliable protein sources while building local capacity.

Features

MICRO-NANO BUBBLES TECHNOLOGY

A breakthrough innovation redefining performance standards in modern aquaculture.

Our proprietary Micro-Nano Bubble technology utilised in CAAP represents a significant advancement in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems. By generating ultra-fine, highly stable bubbles with a large surface area-to-volume ratio, the system enhances oxygen transfer efficiency and stabilizes dissolved oxygen levels.

This improves fish metabolism, feed conversion and overall health while supporting water treatment processes and reducing energy consumption. Integrated within CAAP, MNB enables higher stocking densities, predictable production and stable year-round operation.

Technology

Technology Introduction

City Advanced Aquaculture Project is an intensive RAS-based high density fish culture unlike other aquaculture production systems. Instead of the traditional method of growing fish outdoors in open ponds and raceways, in this system fish are typically reared in indoor/outdoor tanks in a controlled environment. Recirculating systems filter and clean the water by recycling it back to fish culture tanks. New water is added only to make up for splash out, evaporation and that used to flush out waste materials. The reconditioned water circulates back through City Advanced Aquaponic Project and not more than only 3% of total water volume of the system is replaced daily.
Key Treatment Processes in Recirculating Production Systems
All recirculating production systems remove waste solids, oxidize ammonia and nitrite-nitrogen, remove carbon dioxide and aerate or oxygenate the water before returning it to the fish tank. More intensive systems or systems culturing sensitive species may require additional treatment processes such as fine solids removal, dissolved organics removal or some form of disinfection.

The capacity range for our CAAP single fish farms is from 500 to 50,000 tonnes per year.
Depending on the project configuration, our CAAP technology is applied as the biological production stages, including broodstock, hatchery, nursery and grow-out under fully controlled conditions, while the overall project scope may be extended to integrated harvesting, filleting, chilling and freezing of the final product.

Possibility of cultivating different species
The CAAP technology enables cultivation of multiple fish species under precisely controlled environmental conditions. Each species requires specific parameters such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH and salinity for optimal growth. In convectional facilities maintaining species-specific conditions is challenging due to natural variations in climate, water quality and seasonal changes. CAAP overcomes these limitations by providing: Fully controlled water environment, Micro-Nano Bubble oxygenation, Customizable biofilters and water treatment, Automated monitoring.
