High-Efficiency Absorption Cooling System for the New Voivodeship Hospital in Wrocław

At the New Voivodeship Hospital in Wrocław, NET Group of Companies delivered an advanced absorption-based cooling solution designed to address limited electrical power availability while ensuring stable and reliable chilled water supply for the hospital.

The system is based on hot-water-driven absorption chillers operating at 125/70°C. The installation provides 1,700 kW of cooling capacity while consuming only 14.5 kW of electricity for auxiliary components. Compared to a conventional compressor-based system, which would require at least 25 times more electrical power, the absorption technology drastically reduces electrical demand.

By utilizing thermal energy as the primary driving source, the system ensures stable chilled water production with significantly lower CO₂ emissions and reduced dependence on grid electricity. This approach enhances operational resilience, lowers peak power demand, and contributes to long-term energy cost optimization.

Through the delivery of core absorption technology, NET Group of Companies implemented a highly energy-efficient and environmentally responsible cooling solution tailored to the hospital’s strategic infrastructure requirements.
