NET Group of Companies Delivers ULTAC Zero Liquid Discharge System to Saudi Arabia​

NET Group of Companies has successfully delivered its advanced ULTAC (Ultra Low Temperature Adsorption Crystallization) system to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, introducing a highly energy-efficient desalination and wastewater concentration solution with solid discharge.

The ULTAC system is an innovative Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology designed to eliminate the environmental and operational challenges associated with highly concentrated brine. Instead of generating liquid reject streams, the system converts dissolved salts into solid crystals, enabling safe disposal or commercial reuse. This approach not only minimizes environmental impact but also creates an opportunity to recover marketable salt as a by-product.

At the core of ULTAC is a fully integrated concentrator and crystallizer operating at ultra-low temperatures – as low as 7 °C. By working under vacuum conditions and significantly reducing evaporation temperatures, the system drastically lowers energy demand compared to conventional thermal evaporation technologies. Importantly, ULTAC eliminates the need for chemical additives to improve water quality, setting a new benchmark in sustainable desalination and industrial wastewater treatment.
