CODECO® Adiabatic Cooling System for Ras Tanura Municipal Water Station

At the Ras Tanura Municipal Water Station, NET Group of Companies delivered and commissioned its CODECO® Adiabatic Cooling (CAC) technology at full industrial scale, providing a highly efficient solution for distillate water cooling. The system reduces water temperature from 46 °C to 38 °C while maintaining excellent water quality, a critical requirement for municipal water applications.

The CAC system enhances cooling capacity by evaporatively lowering the seawater refrigerant temperature, achieving remarkable efficiency. For every 1 kW of electrical input, the system delivers 72 kW of cooling output, resulting in an ultra-high energy efficiency of 7,200%.

The solution consists of closed-loop cooling units equipped with Micro-Nano Bubbles, which improve heat transfer, optimize energy consumption, and minimize operational costs (OPEX).
